Meridian – Gall Bladder Meridian.

Chakra- Balances Solar Plexus and Heart

Observing Nature while working with a garden, is always a reflection of our progress through life. It is Nature on display for us, close to us. We are part of that Nature and so it helps us remember our flow in the events that shape our environment and how we can create our place in it. The Lime trees gave me a rigorous reflection of my life through their response to my inputs with them.

The Gall Bladder Meridian.

Physical Description and Energetic Associations.

The Citrus Lime Tree resonates with the green of the Wood Element. The new leaves produce a fresh spring green which darkens to a verdant forest green as they age. This can be one of the most productive small trees for a home orchard. Producing bountiful crops if you work with it throughout the season. The fragrance of the flowers as it blooms is a heady sweet intoxicating aroma. The shiny, green, juicy fruit are one of my favourites for use in cooking and beverages. It has small unobtrusive thorns which can catch you unawares and give you a sharp reminder to pay attention.

My Journey with this Flower Being.

My Lime Trees in Queensland always produced a crop, but working with them through the season to produce the best crop was a learning experience. They needed constant vigilance for pest and disease. Meditating with the trees while these outbreaks occurred, I noticed that they corresponded with different emotional states in my life.

Citrus leaf miner – Letting situations get under my skin.

Gall wasp - Allowing frustration to build up instead of changing the situation.

Scale – Small Frustrations not dealt with causing a bumpy path.

Sooty Mold – Allowing the situation to go on too long until it saps my energy and is harder to correct.

Ants – Exacerbate scale and in turn sooty mold. Feeling undermined and giving away my power over little things, instead of being firm with my boundaries.

Nutritional and Maintenance Requirements

As they year progresses the lime tree needs regular applications of compost or fertilizer to produce the best fruit and keep pests and disease to a minimum.

Like ourselves, looking after the environment we are in and providing the right nutrition for Body Mind Spirit allows us to be our most bountiful selves.

If I neglected the trees they still produced but the pest and disease was much harder to deal with.

Regular selective pruning also helped for these trees as it maintained a better shape, allowed air flow and kept them off the ground. In my life I noticed also, areas where I could better shape my effort to produce more productive results later on.

The seasons in South East Queensland at the time, were a bit erratic. Drought then floods and changing temps all meant that constant adaptation and observation was needed. Meditating on this while working with the trees I gained some deep insight into the management of my own bountiful life.

I now have a new Lime Tree in Tassie and it has already brought me many insights. Working with a new set of challenges for my life in a completely different environment.  I have yet to harvest from this beautiful tree, but I am working toward my bountiful life while adapting to this environment with it's completely different seasons, soils and challenges.

The Message from the Lime Tree

Observe how I grow. Be adaptable to the situation as it changes. What is needed now to make the environment the best it can possibly be for growth and harvest. Start at the bottom and work up. Is the soil or ground around you fertile and full of life ?

Is the trunk clear and healthy ? ( Does your life need reshaping or clearing ?)

Are the leaves green and shiny ? ( Do you need to focus on your Nutrition ?)

Are there any pest and disease ( Emotional situations to work with?)

Look to all the small things over the course of the year and you will be surprised how all these little things bring your life into focus so that you can fully express your Bountiful Nature.
