The Governing Meridian is the masculine principle, it is here at the tail bone that the energy that propels us to experience life enters the body. The Actions of this essence are Upwards and Outwards. Warmth, Movement, Expansion.

​Physical Description and Energetic Associations

The needle like leaves radiate outward and upward expressing yang energy. The flowers, bunches of cylindrical catkins, are phallic in shape also expressing yang energy and the essence was made with the pollen, which is the culminative yang principle. These trees are evergreen and their growth habit is vigorous and straight. We use them as timber for building framework and support structures. The masculine principle provides us with the support, structure and protection to nurture the yin principle.

My Journey with this Flower Being

As I was making this mist, I intended to make the essence of the flower. As I reached up into the tree to touch the flower, it rained pine pollen all down my arm. I went to touch the flower again and got another rain of pine pollen. The message was to make the essence using the pollen. It is the pollinating principle of the plant and the ultimate expression of its yang energy. It reminded me that as I follow the process I will be supported by the plants and flower beings. The framework and  structure of process is important but it can be flexible and changing. The strongest structures are the one that can bend with the wind. The governing meridian and yang expression isn’t a hard, ridged concept but Strength through expansive movement and flexible support. When this is in balance, momentum and can be sustained.
